Phillip Seymour Hoffman

On February 2, 2014, American actor, director and producer, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, was found dead in his NY City apartment with a syringe in his arm.  The examiner concluded that Hoffman’s death was due to an overdose of a mixture of drugs including: cocaine, heroine, benzodiazepines and amphetamine.  It was evident that he had struggled with drug addiction for years, and unfortunately, he was unable to seek the help he needed before accidently taking his own life at just 46 years old.
