Since the first Olympics took place in 1846 in Athens, we have witnessed some of the most incredible, record-breaking events in history.  The greatest talent from all around the world comes together and competes against one another, while the rest of the world watches in udder amazement and disbelief.  While we sit there and watch from our couch (or possibly in person), we could never imagine that these Olympians could ever fall short from anything but heroic.

1. Fred Lorz, 1904 Olympics
