After the major release of the 24th Bond movie in 2015, Spectre, we can’t help but look back on the entire series of Bond films since it all began in 1962 with Dr. No.  While numerous actors have played James Bond over the years, ranging from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig, we can’t ignore the underlying anticipation that many viewers have for each film that is released, the unveiling of the new “Bond girl.”

The role of Bond girl has been highly sought out by Hollywood actresses over the years, and casting directors make no mistake determining who will win over the desirable role(s) with each film.  Let’s take a look back at all of the Bond women over time, most of whom were given their “big break” with the major debut.

Ursula Andress

Another Bond girl starring in the Film, Dr. No, Ursula Andress’s character, Honey Rider, was the first ever Bond girl noted in Ian Fleming’s original novel series.  The Swiss film and television actress went on to win a Golden Globe for her role as Honey and also landed the additional role as Vesper Lynd in the 2006’s Bond film, Casino Royale.
